Or leave a classroom so full of clients that the teacher didn't notice you were doing the exercise wrong...and now you're paying for it? Do you often find yourself making your grocery list while you're working with your personal trainer? Not here.

At Star Pilates and Fitness we host small group Pilates sessions highlighted with intense functional training to keep you motivated, engaged, informed and having fun doing it. Pilates is a system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness. This goes hand in hand with functional training. Functional training helps provide strength, stability, power, mobility, endurance and flexibility that you need to thrive as you move through your life and sports. We use basic functional movement patterns like pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, rotating, carrying, and gait patterns every day. Marrying Pilates and functional training improves your movement proficiency in these primary patterns to give you an edge while enhancing your performance so you can achieve goals safely and with good health.

Personal training and semi private training is also available for all abilities.

REFORMER CLASSES

Group reformer classes allows students to work with the Reformer Apparatus without having to pay the fees for a private session. The Group Reformer class utilizes spring controlled resistance to build core strength, increase flexibility, endurance and coordination. At Star Pilates and Fitness we have Balanced Body equipment for optimal training. The result is a strong, yet flexible, well toned body, without muscle bulk. Reformer work is also great for injury treatment, posture correction and immobility. Reservations are suggested.  Currently all classes are mixed level, allowing the instructor to tailor exercises suitable to your needs. These classes are not designed for beginners. A newcomer to Reformer or refresh on the equipment is best suited with private sessions. Please inquire directly.  2 students per class minimum, 5 maximum. 24 hour cancelation policy is enforced. 

There may be classes where Pilates mat exercises are worked in, or barre exercises, certainly props, including jumpboard and the magic circle. Be ready for anything!
